Ascalon the lance of Saint George

just saw the red cross of Jesus Christ and Ascalon, the lance with whom Saint George slayed the dragon. Saint Michael and Saint George have the slaying of the dragon in common. Saint Beatus, the apostle of Switzerland, who lived before Saint George, was a dragon slayer too. The dragon stands for reptiles which used to dominate the world for millions of years. They were wiped out by the  angels who developed a higher form of life on earth.
