Pray for us Saint George

Pray for the people whose desert does not end
they are without hope and have nowhere to go
Pray for the people who lie in the sand
their faces full of sand.
They cannot cry because their tears are dry.

Give them hope so the sun can  rise
over the  desert in the forgotten land.
We remember our ancestors
who walked through this desert  before
you lifted them up and took their fear.

Now our brothers walk the same  way
their souls are lost
their hearts are heavy
and they have nowhere to lie.

Pray to Saint George who has no fear
and nerves stronger than steel.
He put his life down for his country
so the people could breathe.
